Well hello there lovelies...
i am so sorry i have be absent for so long.
after over doing it a little as i said in my last post i ended up with about 4 weeks of cold and flu.
not so much fun.
I am better now and have been back at it for a week and a half now.
Tonight i am sitting here convinced i have pulled every muscle in my body after deciding that it was a good idea to still do my hour of personal training and then go to my roller derby training for two hours of bootcamp/training.
although as mental as this sounds, it is a good feeling.
i am off to sleep, so i can post more soon

So i really moved it this week.
haha which is great but after being very blah the week before i think i over did it a little
it was great to get going again, i really hate it when i am sick.
I basically did my usual but for the full 5 weekdays.
so 3 days with my personal trainer for a hour session and 2 days by myself for a hour at least of cardio.
the fact that it has been absolutely freezing in Sydney this week would have made it hard for anyone. I am so not a morning person regardless but when it is about 5 degrees Celsius at 6am when i have to leave the house makes it so much worse.
i seriously think that there should be a government safety warning about me on those days
"do not approach or attempt to talk to Ms Tightlace,
doing so may end in serious injury or death."
after a busy weekend i plan to just relax tonight, maybe buy some pretties online and have a bath so i am not so sore and ready for my 7am session tomorrow morning
ewwwwwwwwww

I always look forward to reading the blogs i subscribe to and when i saw the post from "Meet me at Mikes" move it like mike challenge i though what a awesome idea, i have been pretty much doing that for the last year now but i have never really documented it.
I am not much of a blog writer but i though maybe i will give it a go. Even if it is just for me to put my challenges into words or to maybe entertain or inspire someone.
About a year ago now i decided to get my butt into gear. over the years i had slowly put on weight, a little from illness, a little from being lazy and alot from that damn yummy yummy bad food. about 3 years ago i had one of those "no more" moments when you realize you have had enough with being overweight and are actually a little horrified with how much you actually put on. in my case i topped the scale at about 115kg. i have always been lucky that i am reasonably tall and very hourglass shaped so that helped but i was still miserable, i hid from photos and hated any that were taken. i lost 15kgs at that point and worked at getting smaller mainly through diet but had been stalling for a while. In July 2008, i decided to go to the gym about 3 times a week and to have sessions with a personal trainer. I know not many people can afford that, but i did it to make sure i went and worked out to a high level.
When i started, i could not run for longer than a minute, and could barely do 10 push ups on my knees. almost a year later i have lost a further 10kgs, about 12 cms off my hips, i can now run for 15 mins straight and do 15 push ups on my toes in a row. the difference is amazing my flexibility is so much better, and i actually feel fit. i have bicep muscles which always makes me laugh.
Now i am not going to say that there hasn't been moments when the thought of going to the gym made me almost cry. when i was so sore i could barely move let alone run. but i made myself do it every week, at least 3 times a week with a single minded, stubborn bordering on obsessive focus (to the worry of one of my friends who thinks i stress myself to much, sorry xox). i plan to keep doing that until i am wear i want to be.
i am blessed with family and friends that supports me, 3 goddesses for sisters and amazing best friends and an angel who is a devil in disguise for a trainer. They make the hard times easier and listen to me whine. thank you for that, i would be lost with out you and you know who you are.
Along with a healthy diet, exercising everyday can make all difference. i have noticed it. i feel so much healthier and have got to the stage where i just don't feel right if i miss gym for a few days. (like i have had to for this week, i have had stupid cold)
i am not at my goals yet, i still have about 20kgs to go but i am getting there.
thanks so much to Pip from meet me at mikes for setting the challenge and all her awesome crafty goodness. you are a craft goddess ;)
i hope anyone who reads this enjoys my ramblings.
